Enjoy the best of both worlds with our Pizza Taco. Made with homemade pizza sauce on a flour tortilla with some veggies and steak, this pizza is a slice above the rest! But if you really want a fiesta of flavor, drizzle some Beano’s Southwest Sandwich Sauce on top!
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsps of olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 28oz can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 6oz can of tomato paste
- 1 tsp of dried basil
- 1/2 tsp of dried oregano
- 1/2 of steak
- 1 red and 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bottle of Beano’s Southwest Sandwich Sauce
- 1 lb bag of Mexican cheese blend
Directions:
For Sauce:
- Add olive oil and garlic to a medium sauce pot and cook on medium heat for 1-2 mins.
- Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, and oregano. Salt and pepper if desired.
- Cover the pot and let simmer, then reduce heat to low and simmer until you are ready to add to tortillas.
For Taco Pizza:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut steak into strips and place in a pan and on medium heat until it’s fully cooked.
- Place a tortilla on a baking sheet and add a layer of pizza sauce.
- Add a layer of Mexican cheese blend, then peppers, onions, and steak.
- Place in the oven for 5 -10 mins or until the cheese is melted.
- Let the taco pizza cool down and drizzle some Beano’s Southwest Sandwich Sauce on top.
