A cheese ball is a classic snack to have at a party, but why settle for a boring one? This Wasabi Ginger Cheese Ball brings a bold and sophisticated flavor to the mix.
Made with our Wasabi Sandwich Sauce, this is a memorable appetizer that will have guests begging you for the recipe!
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper (ground)
- 1 teaspoon ginger (ground or fresh minced)
- 2 tablespoon ponzu sauce
- 2 teaspoons Beano’s Wasabi Sandwich Sauce
- 2 tablespoons white and black sesame seeds
Directions:
- With a hand mixer (or stand mixer) cream together the cream cheese and mozzarella cheese until combined.
- Add the white pepper, ginger, 1 1/2 teaspoons Wasabi Sandwich Sauce, and ponzu sauce.
- Mix together to incorporate fully.
- Mold into a ball.
- Wrap in plastic wrap.
- Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Overnight is best.
- When ready to serve, unwrap the cheese ball.
- Brush the cheese ball with prepared 1/2 teaspoon Wasabi Sandwich Sauce.
- Roll in a mixture of black and white toasted sesame seeds.
- Serve with rice crackers or regular crackers!
