Bring the heat to your kitchen with this Buffalo Blue Mac & Cheese, using Beano’s Buffalo Sandwich Sauce! It’s got the creaminess of your favorite mac & cheese, kicked up a notch with buffalo sauce and blue cheese. Cheesy, spicy, and all kinds of delicious!
Ingredients:
- 1lb of elbow macaroni
- 3 tbsps of butter
- 4 tbsps of flour
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/2 cup of blue cheese dressing
- 1/3 cup of Beano’s Buffalo Sandwich Sauce (plus more for drizzling)
- 2 cups of 4 cheese Mexican cheese blend (more if desired)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3/4 cup of panko bread crumbs
- Green onions for garnish
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
- Cook your elbow macaroni in a large pot according to the package instructions, then set aside.
- In a medium pan over medium heat, melt your butter. Add in your flour, stirring for 1 minute.
- Slowly start adding your milk to the pan, whisking continuously. Continue to whisk until the mixture thickens (this should take about 5 minutes).
- Add your blue cheese dressing and Beano’s Buffalo Sandwich Sauce to the pan, stirring to combine.
- Remove your pan from the heat, then add your cheese blend. You can add more cheese if you like your mac extra cheesy.
- Combine your cooked macaroni with your cheese mixture, then season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer your mac & cheese to a baking pan, then sprinkle your panko breadcrumbs evenly over the top.
- Bake your mac & cheese until it’s golden brown (about 25-30 minutes).
- Finish off your dish with a drizzle of Beano’s Buffalo Sandwich Sauce and a sprinkle of green onions.
