Ingredients:
- Beano’s Heavenly Horse Radish (for dipping)
- Olive Oil (2 tbsp)
- 1/2 white onion, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, shredded
- 1 cup of panko bread cumbs
- 16 oz package of Italian Sweet Sausage
- 1 tbsp of parsley, chopped
- 1/2 can of refried beans
- Puff pastries (thawed)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
- Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a pan at medium heat, then add the finely chopped onion and shredded carrot. Cook and set aside.
- Cook 1 package of sausage and set aside.
- In a large bowl, add the cooked onion and carrot, 1 cup of bread crumbs, 1 tbsp of parsley, cooked sausage, and 1/2 a can of refried beans. Mix well.
- Take your thawed puff pastries and cut them in half. Along the edge of the pastry, add the sausage mixture.
- Brush egg wash on the other side of the pastry, then roll and close. Ensure the closed side is on the bottom.
- Cut the rolled pastry in half and then into thirds, creating six pieces.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Serve with Beano’s Heavenly Horse Radish for dipping.
