There are few things that scream comfort food more than grilled cheese. It’s a childhood staple, but we’re all for giving it a grown-up twist.
This time around we added Buffalo Chicken, made with our Buffalo Sandwich Sauce, and bacon for a spicy, salty mix to a classic.
Ingredients:
- 8 slices bacon, cooked
- ¾ cup Beano’s Buffalo Sandwich Sauce
- 1½ cups shredded rotisserie chicken
- sea salt, to taste
- fresh black pepper, to taste
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 8-16 thin cheddar cheese slices
- butter
Directions:
- In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken with the Buffalo sandwich sauce. Toss until the chicken is evenly coated.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread and then lay the butter side down. Start layering the cheese, the chicken, and then the bacon on 4 of the slices.
- On the other 4 drizzle more Buffalo sandwich sauce, and then add more slices of cheese.
- Top the chicken slices, with the sauce slices
- Heat up a skillet and add sandwiches, one at a time. Heat on both sides until crispy and golden brown.
- Remove from skillet and enjoy!
