Monte Cristo Sandwich

What if you mixed french toast and a ham and turkey sandwich? You get the Monte Cristo sandwich! It’s a wonderful blend of sweetness and savory flavor. We made ours with a sauce mixture of Beano’s Cranberry Honey Mustard and Mayonnaise to a burst for complementary flavor!

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 tbsps of Beano’s Cranberry Honey Mustard
  • 2 tbsp of mayonnaise
  • 1/2 lb of sliced ham
  • 1/2 lb of shredded turkey
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • 4 slices of provolone cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • powdered sugar

Directions:

1. In a medium-sized bowl, crack two eggs and beat them, set them aside.
2. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and Beano’s Cranberry Honey Mustard.
3. Start assembling the sandwich. Start with bread, then add the sauce mixture, 2 slices of provolone, ham, turkey, 2 slices of provolone, spread the sauce mixture on another slice of bread, and place on top.
4. Take the sandwich and soak it in the egg.
5. On a skillet, add butter, and once melted you can place the sandwich.
6. Make sure to flip until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
7. Once the sandwich is cooked, add some powdered sugar on top.
8. You can enjoy the sandwich as is or you can make another mixture of the Cranberry Honey Mustard and Mayonnaise for dipping.
