Pressed Italian Sandwiches

These Pressed Italian Sandwiches are the perfect lunch for every occasion. Packed with deli meats, mozzarella cheese, arugula, and Beano’s Olive Oil Submarine Dressing. We look forward to packing these when we plan our next family trip.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Ciabatta baguette, cut into sections about 4 inches
  • 2 tbsps of melted butter
  • 1/2 cup of roasted red bell peppers
  • 8 slices of fresh mozzarella
  • 1/2 lb of salami
  • 1/2 lb of thinly sliced turkey
  • 1 bottle of Beano’s Olive Oil Submarine Dressing
  • 1 roll of brown parchment paper

Directions:

1. Cut one of the 4-inch Ciabatta rolls in half and add butter to each side.
2. Layer salami, turkey, roasted peppers, and two slices of mozzarella.
3. Drizzle Beano’s Olive Oil Submarine Dressing over the mozzarella and add a handful of arugula, then close the sandwich.
4. You can enjoy it like this but if you’d like to make this as pictured above continue to the next step.
5. Press down and cut each side to square it off then wrap some parchment paper and tied it with baker’s string.
6. Enjoy!
