It’s important to have a go to appetizer recipe ready to go. It’s even better when it’s quick, easy, but still packed full of flavor.
These Sage, Gruyere, & Prosciutto Twists are just that. Use our Pineapple Honey Mustard as a dip to get an unexpected sweetness that pairs perfectly with the earthy flavor of the sage.
Ingredients:
- 1 can of puff pastry
- 1 egg, whisked
- 2 teaspoons dried sage
- 1.2 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 12 slices of prosciutto
- Beano’s Pineapple Honey Mustard, for dipping
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F
- Roll out the puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface
- Brush the egg on the top of the puff pastry, covering the entire surface
- Sprinkle cheese, sage, and a bit of salt to evenly cover the puff pastry
- Using a rolling pin, press the cheese into the puff pastry
- Fold the puff pastry in half lengthwise
- Cut into 12 even strips
- Place a slice a prosciutto on a strip and twist, repeat with the remaining 11 strips
- Place strips on a baking tray, brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with a bit more salt
- Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes
- Remove from oven, dip in our Pineapple Honey Mustard, and enjoy!
